A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to join a leading Scandinavian Childrenswear retailer.
The brand first launched a store in Sweden and has had rapid growth in a number of countries, beautiful childrenswear made from sustainable materials and timeless fashion, the brand continues to grow. The vision, to be a leading childrenswear chain offering a sustainable, affordable and desirable brand experience for millennial parents.
The brand will now be launching in the UK, with the first 2 stores in Oct this year, in South West London and 4 more stores to follow in spring next year. The brand plan rapid growth year on year thereafter. The brand are looking for a GM, to support, facilitate and drive this UK launch. This General Manager will be the highest point of contact in the UK reporting directly to the New Business Vice President, based in Sweden.
The role will include the set up and recruitment of the new stores, establishing retail strategies, objectives and budgets and providing clear leadership for creating the ultimate customer experience.
The General Manager will be taking full responsibility of all retail operations, ensuring effective e commerce and digital marketing activity. Providing excellent leadership for the teams to maintain the highest standards and to achieve the objectives, introducing new concepts and brand development.
Responsibilities will include:
*Sales education
*Culture implementation
*Store operations
*Customer service operation
*Setting Sales targets
*Liaising with Sweden to ensure brand standards are met
*Team coaching & development
*On line operations
*Running online business as this will be the major channel from start.
*Setting clear objectives to store teams

The ideal candidate:
*Will have real entrepreneurial flair and experience in running a business as if its their own.
*Must be inspirational leader that has the work ethos to drive sales and team.
*The candidate would need multi site experience will proven experience of coordinating with external partners. Experience with new store openings or start up business is a must!
*The candidate must have experience in achieving high standards consistently across the business and proven results for achieving set targets, profit with a high level of customer service.

The company will be offering a competitive salary up to £65,000.
