Senior Allocator - LUXURY Footwear/Handbags
Our client, a vibrant luxury UK brand, is looking for a strong Senior Allocator SPECIALIZED IN FOOTWEAR OR HANDBAGS to join its team in London.
The candidatewill have at least 3 years’ experience in a luxury stock control/merchandising role and must be highly numerate with excellent Microsoft Excel skills, possessing the ability to analyse numerical data efficiently and draw insightful conclusions and summaries. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential, and must have a methodical and logical approach to carrying out tasks. It is important that the candidate has strong commercial acumen, with the ability to think 360 and possesses good product awareness. Organisation and the capability to prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required. Experience with retail and wholesale trading, stock control, reporting, and forecasting is essential.
Specified duties relate to women’s and children’s shoes and handbags. This new role provides an exciting opportunity in a growing business, and will focus on stock control. The candidate will ultimately be responsible for the stock cycle, including stock forecasting and re-ordering, tracking ROS and sales vs. stock to ensure back up stock is fully potentialised, accurate reporting, and deciding the most appropriate final movement for stock.
The candidate will directly report to the Merchandise Manager. Therefore, they will be responsible for keeping the Merchandise Manager up to date with stock information on a regular basis.
Forecasting & re-ordering - Regular inventory analysis, forecasting and re-ordering back-up stock to ensure appropriate levels are maintained throughout the season.
Trading stock / replenishments - Monitor and track stock levels vs. sales for the retail and wholesale channel on a weekly basis to identify opportunities for trading stock to ensure back-up stock is fully potentialised throughout the season. Responsible for global stock replenishment program across wholesale and retail. This includes controlling appropriate weekly replenishments for retail channel, as well as proposing wholesale re-orders and being a key point of contact for partners in relation to re-orders and RTVs.
ROS - Track and review ROS of the Core styles on a weekly basis, with a view to informing planning and trading decisions.
SW store - A key point of contact for the SW store. Responsibilities include inventory level control, product ranging and in-store offer – ensuring depth and width of SKUs is at an appropriate level at all times.
Off price stock - Review end of season stock levels and strategically plan the final movement of stock (off price).
Warehouse inventory - Responsible for stock accounts in the warehouse; overseeing that stock is booked in and stored in the appropriate location. Track faulty stock; analysing stock levels and sharing this information with relevant teams.
Stock reporting - Ultimately responsible for all stock reporting and valuing, ensuring it is accurate at all times, and month-end finance reporting is completed accurately and on time.
Process implementation - Review processes connected with stock control with a view to implementing more efficient and streamlined processes. Influential in new system set up from stock perspective; becoming a key user and defining clear processes.
