This is a fabulous opportunity to represent a heritage brand well-known for its iconic fashionable pieces thought to combine practicality with style.
My client is looking to bring on board a commercial and driven Assistant Store Manager for their brand-new store in Yorkdale. The successful candidate will assist in leading a team of 15 people and will push the brand in a very competitive arena using their initiative and passion for retail and fashion.
 
Main duties will include:
  • Representing the brand with passion at all levels enthusing both customers and the team
  • Assume full management responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence
  • Assisting in developing and implementing retail operations, providing the team with a clear structure, initiating and rolling out procedures for this first challenging project
  • Making sure the Sales Assistants’ team is delivering the highest level of shopping experience in line with the company vision and guidelines
  • Building a strong network of regular customers by pushing data capturing to repeat business
  • Driving the store profitability working closely with the team to make sure they work towards the achievement of the KPIs set
  • Ensuring the team can deliver exceptional product knowledge to customers and is up to date with the new arrivals and promotions
  • Assisting the Store Manager in training and developing the team to retail talent and ensure talent succession planning
 
Person Requirements:
  • Proven track records of hitting targets as an Assistant Store Manager within a global brand and high turnover store
  • Commercial mind-set and ability to identify business opportunity in a new local market
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Customer-centric with the ability to develop long-term relationships with customers
