There has now arisen in the picturesque market town of Matlock, Derbyshire, a rare opportunity to lead and implement a sales growth strategy for a key group store.
You will ideally already be familiar with both jewellery and watch products, but this is not essential as full product training can be provided. More important to our client is your ability to demonstrate a well-defined track record of progression within retail, culminating in your current status as a successful store manager.
You will be well-versed in the prime commercial indices that form the basis of running a successful store (jewellery or otherwise), namely: managing stock, optimising sales and achieving the required operating margin.
Equally important is your adeptness at maximising the ability of each of your team members to achieve - and exceed wherever possible - pre-set trading key performance indicators. Looking at each team associate individually, you are able accurately to evaluate their strengths and development opportunities, and be ready and willing to share with them the benefit of your best practice experience, be it in Sales or Customer Service.
You are an astute commercial operator, able to capitalise fully on every trading opportunity, while ensuring that your team resources and capabilities are always in the right place at the right time.
A naturally competent communicator, whether the conversation is with a customer, supplier, employee or representative of head office, you ensure it produces a commercial dividend which gives ever greater trading momentum to the store which you are proud to lead.
The jewellery trade offers unrivalled opportunities to display, promote and merchandise your store to be as alluring as possible; this is an area in which you naturally enjoy leading and encouraging your team to take ownership.
